Talyst showcasing pharmacy automation and medication solutions at ASHP meeting

Pharmacy automation and medication management solutions provider Talyst is presenting an exhibit at the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) midyear clinical meeting and exhibition being held in New Orleans through Friday.

The Washington-based company is showcasing some of its solutions as part of Intelligent Pharmacy Pavilion, which displays the latest technologies being used in hospitals and ambulatory care pharmacies. Among the Talyst products being highlighted at the event, which started on Sunday, are AutoCarousel Mini, AutoVault Mini and AutoCool + H.

AutoCarousel Mini is Talyst's most-compact model, offering automated and secure storage of medications. It ensures maximum storage and decreases the amount of pharmacy space needed by up to 50 percent. Additionally, it allows for accurate ordering with bar code verification and pick-to-light indicators.

AutoVault Mini is a secure space-saving storage system for medications, including controlled substances. Built for confined areas, the system features numerous cabinet configurations that help optimize storage requirements. It also has a simple touchscreen interface that streamlines workflow to manage inventory in a safe manner.

AutoCool + H is a refrigerated storage device that is scalable based on expansion and location needs. It allows for easy and complete inventory management, improved efficiency and increased patient safety. The latter is done with secured doors and password security.
