Board of Pharmacy contracts North Carolina Health Program for substance abuse moderation
Upon its transition, NCPHP will provide the board with professionally trained mediators to identify licensees whose health may be impaired by drug or alcohol abuse. Once identified, NCPHP personnel will facilitate early intervention and rehabilitative practices that are therapeutic, confidential and non-disciplinary.
NCPHP has a long and successful history of high patient recovery rates and advocates for the success of participants with the North Carolina Medical Board, insurance companies, employers and families. In addition, the NCPHP provides some assistance for participants with financial needs.
Clients and patients of NCPRN are currently in the process of being moved to the organization’s area treatment facilities. More information will be distributed about NCPHP, its team and its services within the next coming weeks.
The Board of Pharmacy would still like to express extreme gratitude for all of NCPRN’s hard work and dedication to its clients, the profession and industry of pharmacy and to the public’s health and safety.
