Pharmaca Integrative Pharmacy names new president/CEO

Boulder, Colorado-based Pharmaca Integrative Pharmacy this week named Richard Willis its new president and CEO.

"I am excited for the opportunity to lead this outstanding senior management team and group of hard-working, talented employees," Willis said. "I look forward to a new chapter of growth for Pharmaca. The company's exceptional reputation of providing high-levels of customer service while creating a best-in-class product offering and store environment has provided it with a strong market position."

Willis brings more than two decades of retail, distribution and publishing experience to his new role. Before joining Pharmaca Integrative, he was the president and CEO of e-commerce service solutions provider SpeedCommerce. Willis has also served in executive positions at various companies including Charlotte Russe, Troll Communications, Bell Sports and Petersen Publishing.

"After a comprehensive search process, the board is pleased to have found such an experienced and talented individual to assume the leadership of Pharmaca," Peter Cornetta, lead director of Pharmaca's board of directors and managing general partner of Highland Consumer Partners, said. "Richard has been a successful executive in a number of private-equity backed situations and he is a great fit with each of the critical leadership competencies that we evaluated as part of our selection process. We're very pleased that he has accepted the position."

In addition to serving as Pharmaca's president and CEO, Willis will also be one of the company's directors.
