McKesson releases its Clinical Programs Solution

McKesson Pharmacy Systems & Automation (MPS&A) this week announced the release of its new technological platform, the McKesson Clinical Programs Solution, which is designed to help pharmacists tailor wellness plans to patients with specific needs.

The program will also retain vendor program information. It is further designed to synchronize the data of patients who are registered with McKesson’s EnterpriseRX system to cut down on time and labor for pharmacists.

The Clinical Programs Solution will help pharmacists design services that fit their patient’s needs by providing flexibility and an easy-to-use system. It will also help by improving the pharmacy’s bottom line. The program has the ability to provide an assortment of management capabilities. These include the easy access of information and program data, a feature that notifies the pharmacy if a patient is eligible for a program while their prescription is being processed and filled by EnterpriseRX, and the locations of pharmacies where they can fulfill their clinical programs.

MPS&A will also research opportunities to partner with clinical program vendors that may be interested in assimilating their services with the Clinical Programs Solution platform.
