CVS Pharmacy today announced the launch of digital receipts for in-store purchases.
ExtraCare Rewards program members will be able to opt out of
paper receipts for in-store purchases.
The digital program rolls out in early June. Customers will receive their receipts, coupons and rewards digitally after completing the one-time process at a CVS Pharmacy. Signing up for the ExtraCare Rewards and opt-out process can be completed at the front register. It requires a valid email address.
"We are excited to roll out the much-anticipated launch of digital receipts. We heard loud and clear that while our customers love receiving coupons and special offers, many wanted a paperless option," CVS Pharmacy President Helena Foulkes said. "This feature lets our customers continue to make personalized choices as to how they engage with us, and will let our members choose to say 'So long!' to the long paper receipts at check-out."
Members of the ExtraCare Rewards program will receive their savings offers, coupons and exclusive benefits digitally. The offers are easily redeemed in store by using a smartphone, tablet or computer to select the "send to card" option for each offer. Paper receipts are still available at the register upon request.
