Systech International's Serialized by November program helped numerous manufacturers comply with the standards outlined in the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) before its deadline.
The DSCSA requires all pharmaceutical manufacturers that distribute within the United States to label all packages with drug identifiers, a serial number and an expiration date. The DSCSA was designed to create a standardized serialization of all prescriptions in the country.
“We’re leveraging our proven services, methodology and years of experience to deploy projects using an accelerated approach,” Greg Innes, vice president of global services at Systech, said. “We have packaging partners that are serialization-ready for deployment today. And because we are hardware-agnostic, we can deliver and deploy a serialization solution ahead of the competition.”
Serialized by November was designed by Systech to help lower-level and mid-level manufacturers to meet the Nov. 27, 2016 deadline.
“We’ve won several unexpected major serialization deployments from multinational pharmaceutical firms due to failed implementations not meeting the original timelines,” Bruce Bleiman, senior vice president of global sales at Systech, said. “Pharmaceutical companies don’t have the luxury of time, they must comply or face real consequences. Our customers know they can put their trust in us for their compliance needs.”
