Pfizer Inc. has partnered with relationship expert Logan Levkoff to host a Q&A session on relationship and intimacy advice for people dealing with chronic diseases.
The session, which will deal primarily with people suffering from rheumatoid arthritis, will be available on arthritis.com.
“I’m thrilled to be partnering with Pfizer to help provide insight on dealing with tough issues including self-love, dating and communicating with partners, which may be difficulty for people living with a chronic condition,” Levkoff said.
Topics covered will include lifestyle advice, disease information and inspirational thoughts. Pfizer’s role will be to facilitate the information to arthritis.com as it becomes available.
“We know that many of the millions of people suffering from rheumatoid arthritis are struggling with more than just the physical symptoms of the disease,” Angela Hwang, president of inflammation and immunology at Pfizer, said. “We are developing resources like arthritis.com to help provide information on topics that go beyond medicine. We are committed to supporting the overall well-being of people with [rheumatoid arthritis].”
Cabrilo Center for Rhematic Disease Dr. Ara Dikranian said people living with RA have a lot to cover during doctor visits.
“Having a support system and educational resources are important when managing the disease,” Dikranian said.
