Precision for Value (PFV) and the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) have partnered to integrate data collected in the Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) into the quality measuring tool Qnav.
“NCAQ is pleased to enter into this partnership with PFV. Life sciences companies have an important role to play in improving quality,” Rick Moore, chief information officer at NCQA, said in a press release. “We support innovation that can translate into opportunities for quality improvement from all ends of the health care continuum. Contributing our data and insights to this collaboration aligns with our mission.”
The new tool will aide in developing strategies to guide health care providers and patients the means to find affordable solutions and access to health care.
“Life science customers typically focus on a narrow set of therapeutic areas, yet the quality performance data available is quite, vast, complex and not organized for the unique needs of our clients,” PFV President Dan Renick said. “Qnav provides clarity and identifies opportunities for improvement within the quality environment by collectively analyzing and reporting the performance of health plans, accountable care organizations and hospitals… Our clients can more fully demonstrate an understanding of their customers’ quality challenges with an eye toward developing meaningful, collaborative and value-added solutions.”
