With the brand-new option to make “best-of-breed” choices at the pharmacy counter, existing Premier Inc. members may now take advantage of pricing solutions through a new partnership between Premier and supplier Swisslog Healthcare.
Swisslog, a global supplier of services and products, teamed with Premier to implement pharmacy management software; two branded automated systems: “BoxPicker” for pharmacy storage and “PillPick” for packaging and dispensing; and its ATP-series tablet packaging system, also automated.
“In addition to traditional automated dispensing cabinet vendors, Premier members are now able to make best-of-breed decisions for their central pharmacy,” Anthony Pugliese, senior vice president for sales at Swisslog Healthcare, said. “We’re excited to join their pharmacy automation portfolio.”
The enhanced services can be scaled to any size distribution structure, either from a facility’s point-of-care location or a remote service center. Swisslog delivers material transport, medication management and supply chain management for health care operations worldwide.
