Misophonia International has released a new resource and training pack aimed at clinicians working with individuals affected by misophonia, the organization announced July 20. The release is intended to provide practitioners with comprehensive materials to better understand and address the needs of those living with the disorder.

The International Misophonia Foundation is dedicated to serving the needs of individuals and families impacted by misophonia through increasing ethical, accurate, and educational resources for researchers, institutions, policy makers, and individuals and families impacted by misophonia. The foundation seeks to increase the development of research that respects the needs and dignity of those suffering with misophonia by facilitating and publishing original research as well as offering institutions and individual researchers consultation services, publication assistance, funding opportunities, and ethical oversight. The International Misophonia Foundation also seeks to increase awareness and understanding of misophonia through providing resources to educate sufferers, researchers, clinicians, and the public about how this disorder affects individuals and families, as well as best practices for increasing inclusion of individuals and families living with misophonia, according to the International Misophonia Foundation.
The new clinician resource and training pack is part of ongoing efforts to expand support and education for professionals and families dealing with misophonia. The foundation continues to provide materials and consultation services to advance research and understanding of the disorder.
