Catamaran exec to make presentation at Cowen conference

Catamaran Corp. said on Monday that Mike Shapiro, chief financial officer, will make a presentation at the Cowen and Company 35th Annual Health Care Conference next week in Boston.

Catamaran’s presentation will be on March 2 at 4:10 p.m. and will be webcast live.

Shapiro is driving shareholder value for the almost $15 billion company and is responsible for financial operations and investor relations. He joined Catamaran in 2012 as senior vice president of finance, where he directed efforts in the areas of financial planning and reporting, taxes and audits, and treasury management. Prior to Catamaran, Shapiro held leadership positions at Rexnord Corp. and Baxter International.

Catamaran is the industry’s fastest-growing pharmacy benefits manager (PBM) and manages more than 400 million prescriptions every year for 35 million members.
