Pharmacists invited to join health care peers at continuing education event
Co-sponsored by Pharmacy Times and the Convenient Care Association (CCA), the conference will enable professionals from all three fields to learn the latest developments in disease prevention, health care screenings, chronic care management and treatment of acute and chronic conditions. Community pharmacists are invited for the first time to participate in the event.
“This conference brings a new dynamic to retail clinic providers and pharmacists alike,” CCA's Executive Director Tine Hansen-Turton said.
Workshops will address patient management from the clinicians' and pharmacists' perspective and discuss management of chronic conditions such as diabetes, respiratory disease and obesity. Attendees can earn up to 10 continuing education credits for completing the sessions.
"By partnering with the Convenient Care Association…we will bring pharmacists and clinicians together so they can learn from one another in the classroom as well as on the job," Pharmacy Times office of continuing professional education head Dave Heckard said.
Pharmacy Times is an industry media resource, providing pharmacists practical clinical information to use in their everyday practices. CCA is the national trade association of companies and health care systems providing consumers with accessible, affordable, quality health care in retail-based locations, aiming to enhance the convenient care industry.
