The Pharmacy Compounding Accreditation Board (PCAB) of the Accreditation Commission for Health Care recently granted Univita Health accreditation for sterile compounding of prescriptions.
The accreditation is the result of an independent audit of the organization’s commitment to delivering quality care and services in accordance with nationally recognized United States Pharmacopeia 797 standards.

Compounding medications allows us to provide a wider array of life-sustaining medications to our patients in the comfort of their own home.”
PCAB accreditation evaluates the compounding process based on a detailed set of standards concentrated on the quality and consistency of medications produced. Sterile pharmacy compounding is the preparation of custom medications for patients in a sterile environment to prevent contamination and keep patients safe.
Univita’s compounding pharmacy in Miramar, Florida, utilizes a system of high-definition cameras to maintain quality and sterile cleanroom standards while at the same time helping to expedite service to their patients.
Univita is building a second compounding pharmacy in Orlando, Florida, which expected to open this summer.
