McKesson Health Solutions to present new management model

Vice presidents of McKesson Health Solutions, Mathew Zubiller and Tammie Phillips, will present a new utilization management model at America's Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) Institute 2015 conference, taking place between June 3 and 5.

The purpose of the AHIP's Institute 2015 event is to bring healthcare professionals together and discuss ways to make the system work better for consumers and providers alike, as well as to provide a better ecosystem. Zubiller and Phillips' presentation will take place at 3:35 p.m. ET on June 4. Their presentation will focus on how health information technology can be utilized to improve utilization management and allow it to become more efficient and automated to better serve consumers and providers.

“You don’t have to rip and replace your existing utilization management system to compete effectively in a value-based world,” Zubiller said. “Let’s bridge the old and the new so that payers and providers can reduce administrative and medical costs by driving the ability to anticipate costs earlier in the continuum, before the care is delivered. AHIP’s Institute is a perfect venue for what I think will be a stimulating presentation and one that I hope will spark a lively discussion during and after the session.”

The AHIP Institute 2015 will take place in Nashville, Tennessee, at the Music City Center.
