HQSI receives URAC accreditation
The URAC accreditation process serves as a basis to improve business processes through benchmarking organizations against nationally recognized standards
"HQSI should be commended for meeting strict quality standards," URAC President and CEO Kylanne Green said. "It is critically important for health care organizations to make a commitment to quality and accountability. URAC accreditation is a demonstration of that commitment."
HQSI received its first full IRO URAC accreditation in 2008. Its Comprehensive IRO serves payers and providers from hospitals, health care systems, third-party administrators and pharmacy benefit managers, delivering independent medical review and appeal services.
"HQSI is honored to receive full IRO accreditation from URAC," HQSI Medical Director Alvin Fried said. "Achieving full re-accreditation demonstrates our commitment to fair, objective and timely review services. To achieve URAC accreditation, HQSI adhered to strict standards for reviewer qualifications, security, policies and procedures, ethics and confidentiality. Our clients know we strive to make the right decision, the first time, every time."
