U.S. HealthWorks to add its locations to National Sleep Specialists Network
Under the agreement, U.S. HealthWorks agreed to add its more than 200 medical locations specializing in occupational medicine, medical examinations and urgent care services to NSSN's growing national provider health care network, specializing in sleep apnea programs, effective immediately.
"We believe this collaboration is not only synergistic but will immeasurably enhance our ability to expand our programs and better service our clients,” U.S. HealthWorks Chief Operating Officer Jerry Smith said.
U.S. HealthWorks, a subsidiary of Dignity Health, is one of the country's largest operators of occupational health centers. U.S. HealthWorks has more than 200 clinics and worksites in 20 states serving more than 3.38 million patients, annually.
“As a national provider of various health care programs and, in particular, servicing our Teamsters population with a highly specialized sleep apnea program, it was critical to us that we identify high-quality providers located throughout the country capable of servicing a mobile population,” Smith said. “For our Teamsters population, having a medical group such U.S. HealthWorks available to use in 20 states is ideal. This affiliation has the added benefit of simplifying the Teamsters members in terms of facilitating their being able to obtain timely appointments, necessary under new federal licensing regulations, and obtaining, through the company, their sleep apnea testing and treatment equipment, when indicated.”
