Cigna's Medicare Advantage plan now offered in Kansas City
Medicare beneficiaries in Kansas City can enroll in Cigna's Medicare Advantage plan during its 2016 open enrollment period, which ends Dec. 7.
“Our products, services and network are built around understanding our customers," Frank Monahan, Cigna president for MidAmerica, said. "Expanding our presence in Kansas City means that we will now have the opportunity to help our customers gain access to greater quality care at every stage of life."
Cigna's Medicare Advantage plan features a $0 premium and provides access to more than 1,200 primary care doctors and specialists from some of the region's best healthcare organizations. Some of the organizations included in the network are St. Luke's Health System, Saint John Hospital, Providence Medical Center and North Kansas City Hospital.
Cigna uses a collaborative approach to enable health professionals to tailor products and services to meet the needs of Medicare customers and allows doctors the ability to diagnose potential health risks before they become serious.
“Our Medicare Advantage plans bring even more value and access to quality care within reach for Medicare-eligible Americans in Kansas City,” Sheffield Young, general manager for Cigna's Medicare programs, said. “By working together with doctors and other health care professionals, we can help our customers receive personalized care at an affordable cost.”
