McKesson facility named Center of Excellence for seventh year in a row

The McKesson Specialty Health Reimbursement, Access & Safety Services Solution Center has been named a Center of Excellence by BenchmarkPortal.

It is the seventh year in a row that the center has earned the certification. On top of this honor, the facility has also been recognized as one of North America’s top 10 centers in the large-size category.

Earning the Center of Excellence title is one of the most sought-after honors in the customer service and support industry. A group of researchers from BenchmarkPortal study a database to determine which facilities have achieved best-practice service and efficiency metrics. McKesson’s Reimbursement, Access & Safety Services Solution Center won the award for its innovative call center program design.

The facility, which is in Scottsdale, Arizona, offers many different services, including reimbursement hotlines, patient assistance programs and distribution services. The center also offers support for single and multi-drug therapy programs in oncology, rheumatology and vaccines, among others.

In order to receive the Center of Excellence designation, the center had to meet or exceed performance indicators established by BenchmarkPortal. To win the honors, the center had to perform at a higher level than peer organizations in cost and quality related metrics, which it did.
