McKesson Solution Center wins Sterling Award

McKesson Specialty Health announced this week that the Scottsdale, Arizona Area Chamber of Commerce has awarded its Reimbursement, Access & Services Solution Center the Sterling Award in the Big Business category.

The Sterling Award has been granted by the Scottsdale Chamber of Commerce for 30 years and is one of the most highly sought-after business honors in the area. The process for winning the award includes an arduous application, judging and selection process.

The award in the Big Business category is given to an organization that has a workforce of at least 100 and has a substantial influence on the economy of the community and the individuals it employs.

McKesson’s Solution Center oversees programs in support of companies that provide aid to physicians who prescribe medications and to the patients who take the medicines to treat complex and prolonged diseases.

The Sterling Award is the climax of a very long and detailed process, which includes four teams of judges that conduct their own review of every application. The judges cut the field down to three finalists in every category. The judges then visit the finalists to determine the winner.
