Astellas Pharm Inc. announced this week that it has named a Nadeshiko Brand component by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and the Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) for its excellence in the promotion and involvement of women in the workplace.

The selections for the FY2015 Nadeshiko Brands were based off the first and second sections of the Tokyo Stock Exchange, the Mothers Index and JASDAQ. The criteria that must be met in the selection process is the enhancement of female participation when it comes to the advancement of women’s careers and the support given to their work-life-balance. Also considered is the Return of Equity (ROE) from the three previous years.
