ASHP announces 2016 Fellows

The American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) announced its 2016 Fellows honorees today.

The 37 pharmacists were selected by the ASHP Practitioner Recognition Program for their commitment to excellence in pharmacy practice.

Each of the 2016 Fellows has devoted at least 10 years to professional service as a pharmacist, are actively involved in ASHP and committed to education in pharmacy services. ASHP will honor its new Fellows on June 14 at the ASHP Summer Meetings in Baltimore.

The 2016 Fellows are: R. David Anderson, Brian G. Baird, David G. Bowyer, Jeffrey M. Brewer, Larry W. Buie, Mary Choy, Daniel D. Degnan, Christina E. DeRemer, Katelyn R. Dervay, Francine A. Farnsworth, Denise C. Fields, Jason E. Glowczewski, Julie A. Groppi, Paul H. Juang, Trisha LaPointe, Molly Leber, Carlo Lupano, Timothy W. Lynch, Michele L. Matthews, Gayle A. Mayer, Michael J. Melroy, Linda A. Nelson, Asad E. Patanwala, Rachana J. Patel, Mitchell A. Pelter, Beth B. Phillips, Holly J. Phillips, Anne Policastri, Edward C. Rainville, Ryan K. Roux, Gloria P. Sachdev, Mollie A. Scott, Pamela L. Stamm, Mark Sullivan, Jennifer Tryon, Suzanne M. Turner and David B. Weetman.

Each year the Fellows of ASHP (FASHP) Recognition Committee reviews the applications for Fellows candidates. Application forms are accepted from June 1 to Oct. 1. The Guidelines, Application and Recommendation form will be posted on the ASHP website by July 1. The program began in 1988. It has recognized 875 Fellows since its inception.
