Benzer Pharmacy this week announced the opening of its first franchise pharmacy in Tampa, Florida as local entrepreneur Tony Kalia partnered with Benzer to open his pharmacy.
Kalia signed the franchise agreement on May 25.
“I came across the information about Benzer Franchise on their website and was quickly interested in their franchise business model," Kalia said. "After discovery day at Benzer Pharmacy's corporate office, I was impressed with their professionalism and spirit of teamwork.”
Benzer Pharmacy consists of a chain of 55 retail and specialty pharmacies located in the Southeast and Nevada. The chain launched its franchise model early this year. The franchisees receive the expertise, support and recognition of a large, national brand as well as a reduced cost for goods and access to specialty medications.
“This is an exciting opportunity for Tony and also for our company as it heralds the start of a new phase of growth,” Benzer Pharmacy President Alpesh Patel said. “Our aim is to gradually grow to an additional 600 stores through the franchise model.”
Interested pharmacy owners can meet with Benzer Pharmacy representatives at 7 p.m. on June 17 at the Rusty Pelican, 2425 N. Rocky Point Dr., Tampa. The free seminar includes dinner and a presentation about the benefits of becoming a Benzer Pharmacy franchisee.
