CVS Health recently announced that its retail medical clinic, MinuteClinic, has officially opened in six Target stores located in South Florida.
The new MinuteClinic locations can be found inside Target stores in Boynton Beach, Davie, Deerfield Beach, Miami and West Palm Beach.
With the addition of the six new MinuteClinics, there are now 28 locations open for business in South Florida. This includes clinics that are already operating in CVS Pharmacy stores and in Navarro Discount Pharmacy.
"The
new MinuteClinic locations inside Target will offer the same scope of services
available to patients at our other clinics in Florida and nationwide,” Dr. Andrew Sussman, MinuteClinic President and EVP and Associate Chief Medical Officer
at CVS Health, said. “In addition, some
services will be new to Target guests, including treatment for minor sprains
and strains, contraceptive care and smoking cessation counseling."
Open seven days a week, MinuteClinic does not require appointments to receive care and accepts most major health insurance. Educational material is handed out at the conclusion of each visit, along with a prescription and a visit summary.
