Ajanta Pharma USA Inc., an Ajanta Pharm Ltd subsidiary, recently announced that it has launched the generic form of Zegerid Capsules, called Omeprazole and Sodium Bicarbonate Capsules, in the United States.
The capsules come in 20mg/1100mg and 40mg/1100mg. They are listed as proton pump inhibitors for the reduction of gastric acid production.
With the release of Omeprazole and Sodium Bicarbonate Capsules in the U.S., Ajanta expands its ever-growing U.S. portfolio of products. The company currently has 26 Abbreviated New Drug Applications (ANDAs) with 11 final ANDAs approvals, one approval that is tentative and 14 that are currently being reviewed by the Food & Drug Administration.
