CVS Health recently opened a MinuteClinic walk-in medical clinic inside the CVS Pharmacy store on K Street NW in Washington D.C.

MinuteClinic is the retail medical clinic of CVS Health; it launched in 2000 and delivers a health care model that responds to patient demand. The new clinic in Washington will be open weekdays with no appointments necessary. The clinic will be staffed by nurse practitioners specializing in family health care. These staffers can diagnose, treat and write prescriptions for various illnesses. The clinic will also offer preventative and wellness services.

“The new MinuteClinic location in downtown Washington, D.C. will help increase access to high-quality, affordable health care in an area that’s convenient for people who live and work nearby,” Dr. Andrew Sussman, president of MinuteClinic, said in a statement. “The new clinic will also introduce even more patients to our growing suite of health care services as we continue to bring innovations and convenience to the way health care is delivered.”
