Advanced Pharma Inc., which does business as Avella of Houston, is voluntarily recalling unexpired sterile injectable products labeled "latex free" that were produced at the company’s Houston location between Sep. 1, 2016 and Feb. 16, 2017.
Avella is conducting the recall because these products may actually contain synthetic latex and/or natural latex. The company cannot determine with complete clarity whether its “latex free” product descriptions are accurate.
Avella is notifying customers of the voluntary recall via phone and mail. If these customers have any of the affected medications that are subject to recall, they should immediately cease their use of the products and return the unused portion to Avella.
