Omnicell Inc. will give patients of AcuDose-Rx Automated Dispensing Cabinets the ability to upgrade to the more specialized XT Series while using their current software.
Omnicell has been working on the product's improvement for some time and was able to release it sooner than anticipated. The new software gives patients access to more capacity, faster service and higher security.
"We recently installed our new XT cabinets after many years of being an AcuDose-Rx customer and, until now, hadn't realized how much we are able to improve patient care with the increased amount of storage and accessibility of medications," Dennis Killian director at Peninsula Regional Medical Center, said
