The International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) has released an updated version of its vaccination reference guide specifically for pharmacists. This 2025 edition, known as the FIP Knowledge and Skills Reference Guide for Professional Development in Vaccination Services, expands on the various roles that pharmacists can play in addressing vaccination hesitancy and improving vaccine uptake.

The guide outlines how pharmacists can ensure proper storage, handling, and distribution procedures for vaccines. It also highlights areas where pharmacists can enhance their skills and knowledge to continue leading in vaccination services. These areas include advances in vaccine technology, supply chain management, navigating digital health systems, leveraging technology, and preparing for future health emergencies.
