Casey McAllister has been appointed as the new vice president of finance at the National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA). McAllister brings over three decades of experience in nonprofit financial management, strategic planning, and technology integration.
Prior to joining NCPA, McAllister was vice president of finance and accounting for Printing United Alliance. In that role, he managed an $18 million not-for-profit organization and led the consolidation of a $16 million media company. His work included implementing liquidity and risk management strategies during the pandemic, overseeing mergers and acquisitions, and driving digital transformation projects. He has also held positions as director of finance and human resources, managing large budgets, investment portfolios, and employee benefit programs. Earlier in his career, McAllister worked in accounting, IT systems management, and financial consulting for trade associations and CPA firms.
McAllister holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from George Mason University and is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive status in Virginia). He was named a 2020 Nonprofit Star CFO by DCA Live for his leadership in nonprofit financial management.
“Organizations like NCPA can best support our members when we’ve ensured our infrastructure is as strong as possible,” said NCPA CEO B. Douglas Hoey. “Casey will play an important role in that – in our work to continue optimizing our organization and maintaining positive margins so that we can fight on behalf of independent community pharmacies. We’re glad to have him on our team.”
The National Community Pharmacists Association represents more than 18,900 pharmacies across the United States employing over 235,000 people nationwide. The association advocates for community pharmacists who are among the most accessible health care providers in America. More information about NCPA can be found at www.ncpa.org.
