The Georgia State Board of Pharmacy has announced the adoption of Board Policy #9. Board Policy #9 sets specific guidelines for both initial recognition and ongoing evaluation of approved providers. The policy applies to professionals diagnosed with, or required by the board to be evaluated for, conditions that may impair their performance in the pharmacy field.
This initiative is intended to ensure that only qualified providers are involved in the care and assessment of pharmacy personnel, supporting patient safety and professional standards within the state.
