The North Carolina Board of Pharmacy announced on May 19 its agenda for the upcoming 1029th board meeting, which will be held in person at the board’s office in Chapel Hill and live-streamed on YouTube.
The meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. with public hearings on proposed amendments to rules concerning the transfer of prescriptions, alternate delivery sites, and standardized orders. The agenda also includes consideration of minutes from previous meetings, an application to reinstate a pharmacist license, selection of board officers for fiscal year 2026-27, financial reports for March and April, and updates to member expense policy.
Other items scheduled include a wrap-up of the 2026 renewal season, implementation plans for the Uniform Multistate Jurisprudence Exam, an investigations and inspections report, legislative updates, rulemaking actions including adoption of new rules such as Influenza Test-and-Treat protocols, and updates on ongoing rulemakings. Committee reports will cover topics such as IT security training and preparations for upcoming professional forums.
The consent agenda lists prehearing conferences from March and April 2026 as well as staff-issued letters of warning to several pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and pharmacies. It also includes consent orders reinstating licenses or registrations with conditions.
